Developum AI Inc. · Acceptable Use
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") governs your use of the EVOLUM platform and any other service operated by Developum AI Inc. ("we," "us," or "Developum"). By using our services, you agree to the terms below. This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.
What We Encourage
EVOLUM exists to help independent filmmakers, actors, investors, and supporters move real creative projects forward. We encourage:
- Uploading and developing your own original creative work.
- Collaborating with cast, crew, and financiers you've legitimately engaged.
- Using the platform's tools — pitch decks, script analysis, sizzle reels, deal rooms — to accelerate genuine independent production.
- Sharing your project's public page and referral link with your own network.
- Providing honest feedback that helps us improve the platform.
What Is Prohibited
Content You May Not Upload
- Content you don't own or have rights to. Do not upload copyrighted scripts, footage, artwork, or music unless you hold the rights or have a valid license.
- Content that infringes any third party's intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights.
- Content depicting minors in sexual, exploitative, or harmful contexts. Zero tolerance. Accounts terminated on discovery; reports filed with authorities as required.
- Content that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, or illegal activity.
- Content that harasses, threatens, defames, or targets protected classes.
- Malware, phishing content, or anything intended to compromise other users or systems.
- Falsified financial disclosures in investor deal rooms. Term sheets, capital tables, and raise targets must be truthful.
Behavior You May Not Engage In
- Impersonating others. Don't create accounts pretending to be another person, company, or public figure.
- Circumventing paid features. Do not attempt to bypass subscription, referral, or credit systems through duplicate accounts or automated abuse.
- Scraping the platform beyond what a normal browser session would generate. Do not build tools that harvest user data, listings, or content.
- Reverse-engineering the deterministic engine, tampering with generated PDFs, or attempting to extract our source code.
- Overloading the platform with automated requests intended to degrade service for other users.
- Using the platform to solicit illegal financial activity — money laundering, unregistered securities offerings outside legitimate exemptions, etc.
- Manipulating the referral or supporter systems with self-referrals, botted signups, or fake pledges.
Financial Conduct
The Investor Deal Room and Supporter surfaces facilitate real financial commitments between users. If you post a project as a filmmaker or make a pledge as an investor/supporter:
- Disclosures must be accurate. Misrepresenting a project's status, budget, cast attachments, or financial history is grounds for termination and may violate securities laws depending on your jurisdiction.
- Investors representing themselves as accredited must actually be accredited under applicable law.
- Funds move between users and are processed by Stripe. Developum does not custody, escrow, or intermediate the money except where explicitly stated (e.g., escrow features not currently offered).
- You are responsible for your own tax reporting on income received or contributions made through the platform.
AI-Generated Content
The EVOLUM engine generates pitch decks, analyses, and other deliverables from your inputs. When you use these outputs externally:
- You own the outputs generated from your inputs.
- Do not represent AI-generated outputs as human-created work when the medium requires that disclosure (e.g., certain grant applications, WGA-covered submissions).
- Do not use platform outputs to mass-produce content designed to spam or manipulate audiences.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this AUP, please report it to trust@developumaiengine.com. Reports are reviewed within two business days. We will not disclose your identity to the reported party unless legally required.
Enforcement
Depending on severity and history, violations may result in:
- Content removal.
- Warning and access restriction.
- Account suspension pending review.
- Account termination and refund forfeiture per our Terms of Service.
- Referral to law enforcement or regulators where legally required.
For clear-cut violations (CSAM, imminent violence, active fraud), enforcement is immediate and does not require warning. All other cases follow a good-faith review process.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP as the platform grows and new use cases emerge. Material changes will be announced to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance.
